Ron and that Conspiracy Bug!

 

One of the parroted criticisms of Ron Paul is his perceived association, by choice, with group such as “Students Scholars For 9/11 Truth.” In a video readily available on Youtube, Congressman Paul is seen giving individuals from the aforementioned group a brief moment of his time. I wont take the time to go into detail as to what was said in the conversation, other than to say that without researching further, many anti-Ron Paul individuals take completely out of context Ron Paul’s assertions of re-investigating 9/11.

 

For the short of it, Ron Paul in no way, shape or form believes that 9/11 “was an inside job.” In a reason.com article David Weigel approaches Congressman Paul on this issue and it is clear that taken in the proper context Ron Paul made no allusions to 9/11 being an inside job, in fact quite to the contrary.

In the Reason.com article Congressman Paul unequivocally denies any belief in the notion that the United States government was the mastermind’s behind the 9/11 attacks. His clearly stated opinion is that government policy, government ineptitude and the fact that clear evidence of terrorist activities were ignored or overlooked contributed to the terrorist successfully implementing their horrendous attack.

 

It is clear that one of two things is happening in the constant parroting of “Ron Paul is conspiracy Nut,” and that is either willful ignorance on the part of many people, or the pure need to slander Congressman Paul. It is a shame that in this political age, that with the truth staring them right in the face many voters will overlook Ron Paul for the simple fact of guilt by association. No, not Ron Paul has associated with these conspiracy types by speaking at events sponsored by them, or that he even agrees with them, but that as a generous and kind statesman he gives these individuals a moment of his time and hears what they have to say, although clearly he does not agree with them. Heaven help us that a kind old soul such as Ron Paul is the butt of unjust criticism simply because he is a kind person.

Dear, Mr. ********

I wanted to pin a response to something you said. The simple fact of the matter is that the evidence Governor Romney is beholden to concerning his flip-flop on abortion shouldn’t be an issue. If Governor Romney believed in the right to life then, he as a principled man should have stood by that regardless the consequences. The Governor himself and his supporters would have fewer questions to answer about his stand on abortion now had he practiced consistency through out his run and subsequent tenure as Governor, and now as a presidential candidate. I think that these concerns from people who have withstood the Romney campaign wave are legitimate. He clearly has stated he was a proponent of a woman’s right to choose, and in a manner of a few years, has completely reversed himself. Again, I reiterate that I'm not questioning Governor Romney's heart; I’m simply questioning him based on what I know to be true.

 

Please show me the error of my ways. Show me how my logical conclusion of political expediency (either then or now) is wrong concerning the governors change heart. Show how it is right to compromise ones alleged beliefs in the name of politics (either then or now.) I have no hatred for the governor; I wouldn’t be a Christian if I did. But I’m just looking for answers that I have yet to find. His Mormonism aside (and that is another grave concern of mine) He would be a reasonably good candidate, and had I not already made my mind up, I think I would might consider him, if only it weren’t for the questions concerning his  consistency on this particular conservative principle that is of the utmost importance.

Ladies and gentlemen,


I openly admit my families ties to the Republican Party, until I sat down and listened to the Columbia, South Carolina debate I was unaware of some of the under-handed and unconstitutional things going on in the United States, I found the man who I believe is the best thing America has got going for it........A man who practices what he preaches, and has not deviated from that for the duration of his political career

On Issues of Abortion, Constitutionally declaring War, on the 2nd Amendment, on Middle Eastern Policy and politics, I’m with Ron Paul. I’m tired seeing the American people, and our sovereignty sold down the river by either unscrupulous politicians, or spineless conservatives who say one thing to get elected and do another once in office. I’m tired of main stream media mouth pieces telling me that if I don’t choose amongst candidates A, B, or C something is wrong with me and Imp un-American. When did free speech become relegated to some ideological box that’s dictated by the media? When did a love of the Constitution become wrong? Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t it America’s highest political and social mandate? A mandate whose recipe found its beginning in the minds of such intellectuals of Freedom as Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and George Washington? Oh, if you believe the establishment politicians, it’s okay to mention the Founding Fathers, but just don’t challenge the establishment politicians on any of their unconstitutional policies by citing our founding principles.

 

In America, for the most part it has been come acceptable to voter for “the lesser of two evils.” In other words that’s another way of saying, “I sold out my political and moral principles because candidate “A” isn’t as bad as candidate “B.” What simple minded hogwash. America wouldn’t be in the mess she is in if it wasn’t for simpletons who to often swallow the contents and refuse of the establishment “slop bucket.” WAKE UP MY FELLOW AMERICANS! This Constitutional Republic of our's is being sold out! We are in dire straits and in need of a fresh injection of the Old Republic and I wholeheartedly believe that Ron Paul is the man to give us that injection.
